Grace, Faith, Love

“Let us be thankful, then, because we receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Let us be grateful and worship God in a way that will please him, with reverence and awe…” Hebrews 12:28 GNT

I don’t yet know what the outcome of Frank’s meeting will be this morning, but there’s been enough prayer to cover our family that we cannot be anything other than wrapped in God’s mercy and grace. I am so thankful for all the offers of prayer, on the blog, via email and telephone,  and for the love and friendship which that represents.

Yesterday at our new church, I told someone (you have no idea what it means to finally be making friendships!) what the situation is. She confirmed that she’d heard stories of ‘odd management’ at the place where Frank works and then, instead of just offering sympathy, said, “Just saying I’ll pray for you isn’t enough; come over here, let me pray with you.”

So with her hand on my shoulder, in grace and friendship we came before God. The chatter of after-service coffee drinkers buzzed around us. Chip poked me in the arm midway to show me what she made in Sunday School. And I have learned a little more of what being a Follower of Christ looks like. I am humbled. We are blessed indeed.
