‘…if you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.
The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.’
Isaiah 58:10-11 NIVUK
Frank and I read those words as part of our bible time just yesterday. I love it when God speaks to us and then speaks to us again!
Note to self: listen to what He is saying.
So saying, I need to go and study. I am writing a report on flood response and prevention. 😀
Talk to God, and don’t forget to cry out to Him on behalf of your needy brother and sister. Then the aroma of good deeds – through God’s love in you – will rise, and God will never stop fulfilling the requests you make out of concern for others.
